Procurement Analyst, Senior

Description: This is highly responsible, professional purchasing work managing all aspects of competitive procurements. Tasks require a working knowledge of local, state and national procurement methodologies and technologies necessary to keep up with current and future market trends related to bids, request for proposals, request for information, request for quotes, request for qualifications and contract negotiations. Interacts professionally while maintaining effective working relationships with superiors, coworkers, company representatives, and government officials. Implements or assists with the implementation of rules, regulations, and policies with a high degree of professionalism and works independently taking a proactive approach from the initial customer request throughout the procurement process. Supervisory responsibilities and activities are required.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Public or Business Administration, or related field and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in contract/public administration, public sector purchasing or contract negotiations. Progressively responsible professional experience as described herein may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required college degree. A Master's Degree or equivalent may substitute for a year of the required experience. Professional procurement accreditation preferred (Certified Public Procurement Buyer or equivalent).
