Welcome to the Florida Association of Public Purchasing Officers (FAPPO). FAPPO is a nationally known premier Public Purchasing Professional organization and is represented on several national purchasing organizations such as the National Council for Public Procurement and Contracting, UPPCC, and NPI’s Achievement of Excellence Program.
The benefits provided to FAPPO members are many and the benefits assist members with their certifications, recertifications and continuing education efforts. The programs available to members are Professional Development Training Program, Scholarship Program & Scholarship Fund, and the College Education Reimbursement (CER) Program.
Do not forget the $$FAPPO Bucks$$ program that allows you to earn your way to FAPPO sponsored events, which also includes event hotel accommodations! The total FAPPO Bucks awarded last year was $20,000.00! This year’s budget for $$FAPPO Bucks$$ has been increased to $25,000.00 and the program has been improved with additional ways to earn your way to FAPPO events.
Current program improvements are well underway to enhance various member and vendor programs, which will address the current economic conditions for all parties. Last year’s overall member program was outstanding and successful! So good in fact last year’s President Denise Schneider has CHALLENGED the current Officers to top it!
The 43rd Annual Conference and Vendor Trade Show are being planned and it will be at the Rosen Plaza in Orlando May 2 – 5, 2010. This event will packed full of educational and networking benefits! Also, FAPPO is testing an on-line meeting program to bring more FAPPO benefits to your office via the internet. A Fall Workshop is being planned for October 23rd in Punta Gorda, Florida and may also be available at a reduced rate via the internet!
